Recently Poets & Writers invited me to write a blog post about Armitage Arts: Summer Edition, a Night out in the Parks event that P&W is supporting. Here's the link to that blog post.
I look forward to teaching at SHoP Camp, the arts program directed by Laura Shaeffer. This multidisciplinary program for children and teens runs June 22nd-July 3rd. Check back for updates regarding pedagogy and projects that the students will be working on!
The Gary Water Festival happens on Saturday, July 27th, and I've been invited to facilitate an arts workshop during the festival. Several years ago I led a workshop at the festival, and it will be great to be heading back to Marquette Park in Gary, on Lake Michigan.
I'm excited to be the featured reader during the next reading hosted by Whitney Scott, editor of Outrider Press. (Sunday, June 28th at the Bourgeois Pig).
This summer the Borderbend Arts Collective runs "Chicago Kaleidoscopes," a creative writing After School Matters program for teens. Elizabeth Marino and I will be the teachers, looking forward to getting started! Follow this link to find out more about the program.
